Research Reporting Standards
Authors are expected to prepare manuscripts in accordance with internationally recognized reporting guidelines appropriate to their study design. These include recommendations from the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and the EQUATOR Network. Depending on the study type, authors should use reporting standards such as CONSORT for randomized trials, STROBE for observational studies, PRISMA for systematic reviews and meta-analyses, STARD for diagnostic accuracy studies, CARE for case reports, ARRIVE for animal research, TRIPOD for prediction model studies, CHEERS for health economic evaluations, SQUIRE for quality improvement studies, and SRQR for qualitative research.
